Although many prefer a bigger screen, we did like how it comfortably fitted in one hand, making it easier to use with your free hand. It weighs just 420g, which HTC chief executive Peter Chou pointed out was lighter than the average paperback book. Carrying and using the tablet for long periods of time should therefore still be comfortable. We weren’t so sure about the colouring of the Flyer. Although the aluminium and white plastic styling is distinctive, we missed the sleek black designs of its rivals and thought it made it look a bit cheap and tacky rather than high-end. However, it is what’s inside that counts. The Flyer uses a customised version of Android 2.4 incorporating HTC’s Sense user interface. We were surprised HTC hadn’t opted for Android 3.0, which was designed specifically with tablets in mind, instead going for a familiar smartphone version. It did seem easy to use, however, and featured all the little bonuses that come on HTC Android phones such as seven home screens and the clock/weather application. The Flyer comes equipped with a speedy 1.5GHz processor, beating many of its competitors on paper by some distance, but it only comes in one model — a 32GB Wi-Fi-only design. We expect a 3G version would come in the future if the WiFi-only version …

@andoXpando1: It is in some stores now, most however are sold out. It is currently in Gamestop and Sams Club stores that i know of, not sure of others. At sams club you can get the 16gb for a few bucks less than through the play store. I believe its supposed to hit more stores and in greater numbers toward the end of the month.
when does the nexus 7 be available in stores?
Great tablet but not so good presentation. Apple’s presentations are just better, especially when Steve Jobs did them.
$199 – WUUT. Google, You are (and have ever been) the best
i realy want it for christmas and its sooooooo cheep its a well good tablet wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo go google
This seems to fit the bill for everything I need in a tablet, with a price that far less than I would prepared to spend. I am happy!
Great video! To see a comparison between the Kindle Fire and the Google Nexus 7, go to [[[droidstate.weebly.com]]] it is legit!
this looks fing awesome
hehehe claps stop wen he shows the tab
So awesome I would wear it on my arm and get rid of my phone!
This is the second video I’ve seen your comment. So let’s play the hours game… the Kindle touch lasts for 2 months of actual use. But so what! Who let’s their iPad sit for a month and who is going to let the Nexus sit for close to two weeks. It’s a non factor. Enjoy your product, what ever it may be and let us enjoy the product, we chose. Pick your battles… and the whole “my tablet is better than yours” thing, is getting old! God Bless!
wow the nexus 7 only has (300 hours) 12.5 days of standby time WTF?? the iPad 3rd get has 30 days of stand by time!!
@extraXplicit a quote from the man himself the Nexus 7 is beautiful and it’s built for Google play. The tablet is designed with one main thing consuming content. So that makes it half baked for us in the UK. Yes everyone dislikes Amazon but I guarantee you when they release a tablet here they will the licences in place
It is supposed to be 200 USD, but somehow, when it reaches India it will have bloated to 300 or even 400 USD. At even 300 USD, I think this tablet is a good buy.
You make no sense.
No mobile GPU is open you utter fucktard.
AndROIDS
uh, what the hell?
why is it a choice for htc, acer, asus.
i think you just jelly with your idevice.
Thank goodness Mr. Shih didn’t speak. When the OEM guys talk at press conferences they usually just go on about screens and shit.
cant wait to get this omg
