Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) on Xperia PLAY
on May 5th, 2012 at 3:36 am
New version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich running on the Xperia PLAY. This is not the official release of software from SE but a custom rom based on an official pre release of it. Not everything works yet. This video is purely for the fans who want a taste of whats coming.
@XperiaGamerWorld’s
would you recommend the update ?
or should I be on 2.3.4 ?
I am worried a bit about the Storage
Not saying its the best phone, it’s unique and the only one of its type. i recommend u get it. But if u r after a cool phone with high speeds, great camera and built in features, then don’t get it. Xplay is strictly for those who want to play games all day long. But with that said, i wouldn’t degrade xplay’s in built features in any way. it doesn’t lack anything
It’s not bad at all. in fact my wifi at home ist that fast or anything, but the speed is moderate. in my experience (i got the xplay on the day it released in australia) i don’t really need to use wifi that much. downloading apps usually only takes a minute or two. But then there are games like Modern Combat 3 and Virtua Tennis which took about half an hour. but believe me, its worth the wait. If u r after a gaming phone, xplay is the only type available in market today. it has no competition.
ive looked at the specs of the play and it says it has slow wifi speeds of only 7.2mbps, i was thinking of gettng it but if anyone has it and has fast wifi at home and has a xperia play please reply so you can let me know what it is like
Any idea now when the update will arrive in Canada?
How do you download this
thank you dude. i have read some comments and they say the phone is broken in a few months and that makes me worry. thanks again
i have an arc and is about the same but without a gamepad, ive also tried the play, their both very good phones, stable, fast and all games runs really smooth, i recommend it.
i downloaded android 4.0.3 on my xperia play
and if you wanna know how did i do that
first you need to subcribe to my channel
and then i tell you how i downloaded
i wonder how stable is this phone? can i really trust it? im planning to buy one and i dont wanna be dissapointed. any ideas about the phone?
DON’T DO IT.
You won’t be able to use the touchpads D:
should I update my xperia neo v on ics???(i searched the web and i found that sony says that ics isnt very stable on the neo v and it would be better to keep to GB but i’ve been wondering what to do update or not)I would appreciate any answers
is advisable to update it on android 4.0.3?
It’s not out yet. This video is demonstrating a custom rom for rooted devices only. You will have to root your device if you want this update before Sony release it properly, which will be later in the summer.
I went into the update centre on my xperia play and it’s not there ?
