@killermoped 533 MHz CPU. It’s quite sluggish. I’ve used one in China, since that’s where this particular one is from. It’s not really responsive and it plays the games quite slowly…
i have the same system, where can i upgrade to 1.7.x ?
tnx

It does not support, becasue it’s only a mobile device and photoshop needs a powerful PC.
The performance is acceptable, but not fast.
It only can support version up to 1.7
Sorry, it does not have camera!

Alejandro..:D
finally their installer is getting improved. Sheesh was it that hard?
@SonOfTheSystem Congrats!
@thisweekinlinux I found out how to fix it
It was go to the cofig.wft document in the wow maps and type SET M2UseShaders “0″ under everything else.. And the game runs normal. Ubuntu is pretty intresting i’ve only been using it for 15 hours.
@SonOfTheSystem I’m sorry, i haven’t played WoW in 4 years. Have you looked on winehq.org’s appdb? They’ve got a ton of information on WoW in Wine.
I have a problem… Installed wow, it starts but all characters are invisible… Anyone who has a idea whats wrong??? I’ve tried everything
unity suck.
@chadkellycolorado awesome! I should really check that out at osme point, but my time is so tight!
Thanks for teaching me about Ryzom. I am really looking for a native linux build to play. I think it has a chance to be the highest quality open source mmorpg to date.
@DAGONLINUX excuse me?? I certainly hope that’s not directed at me, and either way, it’s uncalled for.
fix the fucking bug first you fuckng nerd
@TableWolfMusic That’s an excellent point, sticking to the repos. Most of the time things will stay stable and as up to date as they want it to be. That said, I still do use Wine occasionally.
I’ve never really gotten into using a photo manager, so I haven’t used F-spot much.
@thisweekinlinux Great!
I know FSpot is the linux equiv but I like the idea of using some google software as they’re a big company so you can expect them to continue support. Maybe I say that with ill-deserved confidence seeing how picasa wont work. I dont do WINE. I also like the idea of sticking to the stuff in ubuntu’s repository&CD for that reason, with exceptions like flash player. Also I try to avoid community support stuff for other people’s linux PCs because they’ll want it to work 24/7.
@TableWolfMusic I’ll definitely add it to my list. I haven’t tried Picasa in a while.
@thisweekinlinux Just found it on your 19 march video (PiTiVi I mean). I’m defintely going to try all 3 when I install 10.4LTS seeing as I have a haupage capture card in there. So far just been sampling using TVtime & something else basic that I cant recall. No more usb-keying over to winXP hopefully, as I must encode to theora.
Can I ask? You do HowTos… would you ever do one on addiing Google repository (10.4LTS)? I got chrome workingin 9.10 but picasa didnt work (since 7.10Gutsy I think).
@TableWolfMusic Heh, that does sound kinda funny…
The video editing software that comes with 10.04 is called PiTiVi. OpenShot is another decent editor, though I use Kdenlive for everything myself.
Being half scottish, I can honestly say, without a scrap of doubt, that the “coffee” bit sounds like a well known expletive uttered in a Glaswegian accent. As in..
“You for coffee?”
Obviously unintentional but funny as hell from my point of view.
Folks, try it while impersonating the voice of Willy from the Simpsons.
Anyway, I’m trying to find the video that mentions the name of the new video edit software in 10.4LTS, & I’m sure you’re all busy too, so I shall clear off and stop fooling around.
@kervala1 Nice! thanks for mentioning it
Ryzom is now running under Ubuntu thanks to the community
There are still some bugs, but that’s a good beginning
@thisweekinlinux Thank you.
@Laoch111 I’m using the Flip Ultra HD to film the majority of the videos I make. If I do use a webcam, it’s my Microsoft Lifecam Cinema HD
What webcam and camcorder do you use? The quality is crystal clear when you record yourself (I presume that is a camcorder).
@FlamingLinux Thanks. I definitely keep it REALLY low because I want it to be there, but not overpower what I’m saying.
I notice your background music. Very quiet…
@xyzoneon I will admit, I’m not a fan of flash. I’m looking forward to what they’re going to come up with to deal with HTML5 though.
I see nothing good about flash not dying.
